Angela Michaels is a drama facilitator, director and theatre maker. She has a broad spectrum of experience designing and delivering workshop programmes as well as INSET training, working in education and community settings. Angela was co-founder of Pop Up Theatre’s ‘Equal Voice’ programme, which was the subject of a Channel 4 documentary. Angela was also Associate Director from 2008-12 at the Half Moon Young People's Theatre, and managed all the participatory and education projects as well as directing 4 national tours and creating other work that played at the Half Moon. Angela’s most recent directing projects are The Tragedian, which toured to Basle and excerpts from Chiggerfoot Boys and Sankara at the National Theatre Studio, also Shadow Games which is touring to schools and colleges in London. Angela believes in the power of theatre and drama processes as a catalyst for transformation and change, that enables positive growth in the individual and hence society.

Amari Harris is a freelance theatre practitioner and former member of Rewrite’s REACT Drama group. Since graduating from Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, Amari has performed ensemble and one man shows in venues and festivals in England and abroad. He also works with theatre and educational establishments across London, including delivering workshops for organisations such as Punchdrunk and Theatre Peckham. Amari has been with Rewrite from the age of 14. He enjoys working with Rewrite’s young people and hopes he can inspire them just as he was inspired when he was a youth member. He is very passionate about creating and investigating different forms of drama, and is excited to have the opportunity to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation.
